A Piece of Wedding Cake

  • Fitting the Tetrimino topper on the Cake
A Piece of Cake takes pains to create a wedding cake for your special occasion...This is not a catlogue for you to pick a product number for a cake order! It's more for you to see the previous work that the cake artist has done and to also feel the sense of joy and celebration that the cakes bring. Read the testimonials of the happy couples here too. Thanks for viewing!

A Piece of Cheesecake

  • Peachy Freezy Berry Breezy
In my humble opinion, a beautifully decorated cheesecake says "I Love You" in ways few other things can. ;O) The 9" cheesecake is perfect for your intimate moments or smaller functions, just friends and family..

Birthdays and Other Special Occasions

  • Decorated Cookies
You have found a baker with a wacky sense of humour and who relishes a creative idea. Here are some examples of pop cake art. (If your kids would love to have a hand in decorating their own birthday cake, contact me for more info! Kids at heart are welcome too!)

Sculpey Art!!!

  • Close up
At A Piece Of Cake, we can custom design and make cake toppers and other ornaments for your cake- a very special keepsake that will last for years to come. Our toppers are made of Sculpey, a highly versatile polymer clay that hardens when baked in the oven. Click 'ere to see a few of our Sculpey art projects!

The Geek Element: making news on the Internet!

Img_7720r_2

Gameaxis gameaxis.com was the first to feature the Tetris cake on the net.

And then, the story was taken up by kotaku.com . To date, at this site, the cake story has been viewed over 6, 000 times, and counting!.

Kotaku2

And from kotaku.com, it pretty much spread around the net!!!

dsfanboy.com    geeksugar.com   urbanretrolifestyle.com      weddingbee.com to mention a few...

Well, as for the reviews and comments on those sites, I'll summarize them as, it's a georgeous cake, totally unique, some love it but not as their wedding cake.

Hey, to each his own. :O)

And the biggest compliment of all came from a guy who works with LOL productions.... He made a montage of the cake, in his words, "to cheer the couple for having such a wonderfully geeky cake" . :O) His montage is totally geeky too.

So, I guess the success of the cake was due to a good, qwerky idea, an effective design to carry it and the boldness to finally execute the plan. That made it a special, one of a kind wedding (and wedding cake.) As I had mentioned it before, kudos to young Singaporean couples who are willing to be less traditional and expressive of their personalities!

As for myself, I'm pleased to have taken "customized" and "personalized" wedding cakes to an all new level.

All glory to my Lord Jesus who loves me so. :O)
