A Piece of Cake takes pains to create a wedding cake for your special occasion...This is not a catlogue for you to pick a product number for a cake order! It's more for you to see the previous work that the cake artist has done and to also feel the sense of joy and celebration that the cakes bring. Read the testimonials of the happy couples here too.
Thanks for viewing!
You have found a baker with a wacky sense of humour and who relishes a creative idea. Here are some examples of pop cake art.
(If your kids would love to have a hand in decorating their own birthday cake, contact me for more info! Kids at heart are welcome too!)
In my humble opinion, a beautifully decorated cheesecake says "I Love You" in ways few other things can. ;O) The 9" cheesecake is perfect for your intimate moments or smaller functions, just friends and family..
My very dear friend Peishi gets married and I baked a cake for her and the kids got in on the action too!
She was my first baking buddy when we were 13 yrs old, completely clue-less as to how to bake a cake. We had to spoon the cake we baked. Ah.... such wonderful memories of happy times together.
Apologies for the poor photo quality. Blame it on our frantic rush out of the house with cake and kids, forgot the proper camera and had to rely on the iphone instead. :P
At A Piece Of Cake, we can custom design and make cake toppers and other ornaments for your cake- a very special keepsake that will last for years to come. Our toppers are made of Sculpey, a highly versatile polymer clay that hardens when baked in the oven. Click 'ere to see a few of our Sculpey art projects!
Okay, this isn't a "cake" related post per se, but it has to do with the Scupley work that BBB Carol's been making. If you are creative, you can make many things with the very versatile Scupley!
This pic is from an entry on gameaxis.com from RexRetry, who is now in Norway working as the Associate Editor, European Correspondent. This 3" high mini Mii was made by Carol for his going away present.
He's very impressed by her attention to detail...and who wouldn't be?
Congratulations Carol! So proud of you. :O)
Do check out the Sculpey Art!!! Album that I've got on the left hand column. (It features mostly Carol's work, I'm her assistant making the odds and ends like hands and feet...)
Oh and btw, what's an Mii? :OP
If you'd like some Scupley work done, do email us and Carol will seriously consider before giving you a reply. Scupleying is not her full time job but who knows??? She's got enought talent, if you ask me. :O)
Oh yes, it's time to move along now. The fame and fun from the Tetris Cake has come and gone. Time for the next wedding cake! Yae!
Well, I had an interesting sit down time chatting with December's couple about what they envision their wedding to be and what ideas they would like to be captured in their wedding cake.
She likes pretty and cute. He likes simple and bold. They admit that they are opposites. Well, the better to meet each others needs, right?
But very big on their list was the fact that they've been a couple since their Junior College years and after 10 years, they are finally going to tie the knot. It is a highly anticipated event for all their family and friends!
I have to say, this JC has played a part in putting together two couples that I know already! My sis and bro-in-law are the other couple who met in this JC!!! Anyone wants to find out which JC I'm referring to? :OP
I'm still formulating a design but I'm glad I have a direction (their 10 years together)... No. I don't think I'm going to do a number 1 0 cake.. hahaha....
But it's going to be unique.... as unique as the couple.
thanks for reading about my cake adventures! As I do not post often, you'll know when I do post if you'd hit the subscribe button at the bottom of the left hand column. If you have technical problems, do feedback to me via email so I can tell the Typepad people. Thanks So Much!!!
