A teenager emails me and asks me if I would help teach him how to make a no bake cheese cake in time for his friend's birthday.
He needed some hand holding, really, from getting the right recipe to shopping for ingredients to creaming and whisking techniques. But since he was so eager to learn, I was willing to help (for a fee). :O)
He didn't have the time to go through the cake making process with me in a kitchen but I helped him all I could with just about everything else. I met him at Poon Huat and introduced him to all the stuff he needed and I walked through the steps of the recipe with him.
It was risky and we didn't know how it'd turn out in the end. (The photo is a spoiler I guess. :p )
Good Job! On your own too! You should be so proud of yourself. :O)

A Rollerblading Wedding!
- My very dear friend Peishi gets married and I baked a cake for her and the kids got in on the action too! She was my first baking buddy when we were 13 yrs old, completely clue-less as to how to bake a cake. We had to spoon the cake we baked. Ah.... such wonderful memories of happy times together. Apologies for the poor photo quality. Blame it on our frantic rush out of the house with cake and kids, forgot the proper camera and had to rely on the iphone instead. :P
