I'm currently not taking any orders at the moment but I'd appreciate if you'd join my facebook page! thank you so much for viewing!!! :O)
Wowee...it's been what, 10 mths since my last post???!?!?! I have been doing little projects now and then. And here's one! We celebrated Teacher's Day at my church today and to honor them and tell them how loved and appreciated they are, I made them some personalized cookies.
And I'm throwing in a little tutorial. Just a small little one.
Ok. This is the cookie I designed and made yesterday. It's supposed to resemble a child's art piece.
Vanilla Sable cookies that I measured and cut using a set square borrowed from my kids.
And it is decorated with royal icing and tons of food coloring. ;) Royal Icing how to here.
Step 1 (after the cookies have COMPLETELY cooled):
Pipe some soft peak royal icing around the boarders. This will form a dam.
Fill in the inside areas with thinned royal icing.
Step 3, 4, 5... blah
When the run in icing has dried, pipe on all the other details with soft peak icing. This the funnest part!
Get your kids to help! (If you should have a couple spare in your house. They're handy that way..)
There you go! hope you enjoyed that.
Big news!!! I've got a wedding cake assignment on March 2011!!! My bestest baking buddy Carol is getting MARRIED!!!!
