Health Checks at a more affordable cost?
I received an email from a fellow homeschooling mom asking about more affordable health care.
I was wondering whether you could help me with regards to the kids' health check. Where can I get them to go for eye check up and all the works including dental check. How do I go about doing them and all other informations too. I've been bringing them to our private doctor and it's costing too much at this point. Sigh.
You do know that in all Primary One, Primary Six and Sec Four they have to do health checks and the dreaded BCG.
For homeschoolers, we go under the school health service, Health Promotion Board (Healthzone) located at one of the buildings in Singapore General Hospital, Outram Road.
The dental checks, general health screening, innoculation can be done there.
Most affordable medical care would have to be at the polyclinics. But getting an appointment would save waiting time.
There's another avenue for affordable dental care.... the undergrad students at NUS Faculty of Dentistry always need patients to practice on. I'm serious. I haven't heard any complaints about them. :O) You can call to ask and fix an appointment under Student Care. NUH Dental Centre 67724922
Anyone else out there who might be able to share other info regarding affordable health care, do feel free to pitch in! :O)
