Our dear little no. 3 has turned 7! What joy and laughter this little boy adds to our family! He has always been our sunshine. <3
there'll be 5 family birthdays from his November one till end Jan. Guess who's going to be busy baking? :) It's a blessing. Happy memories are being made. It's one thing for your mother to spend $300 on a birthday cake for you (did you read the recent Sunday Times report?) and it's another for your mother to design and bake a $300 cake for you. ;)
I'm most happy that no. 1 helped me with the production of this cake quite a bit. Here are his handy work. The heads!
It was a lesson in perserverance because he almost gave up when the first head he made wasn't up to standard and I made him redo and redo. The subsequent ones got better and better. He felt good about the work he was doing! I'm so glad. I love his intuitive humourous touches too. Like this tongue and the eyes going off in opposite directions (becuase the sheep is dizzy from spinning!) What a joy to work with our children! :)
What a joy to celebrate with family and friends! We enjoyed the new pier at Lower Seletar Reservoir with a perfect view of the water and water fountain and arena, beautiful landscaping etc. etc. So thankful that we are so blessed in Singapore to have these spaces for recreation... for free!
A large and happy family is indeed a blessing of the Lord!
Psalms 128:1 <<A Song of degrees.>> Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.
2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
4 Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.
5 The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.

Happy Birthday and many blessings to Isaac!! I love the cake, and that he helped with the sheep. Especially the one with the googly eyes and tongue hanging out--I laughed out loud!
