Recently, the Sunday Times did an article and review of custom designed cakes. There are so many marvellous cake designers in Singapore! WOW! Well, here's a behind the scenes peek at my latest project. I'm sure you can appreciate the time and effort that goes into making one of these. Everything is hand-crafted from scratch.
Our darling third baby turned 7. He requested a Shaun the Sheep cake and so it was.
We have been enjoying this stop motion series recently. The cake is based on this episode. Go watch! it's hilarious!
Stick with Me- Shaun the Sheep from JP Vine on Vimeo.
So we had this idea of the ball of sheep all glued together rolling down and about to engulf the baby Timmy. Shaun is running to rescue him. :)
We decided to make all the characters of Sculpey so that we could keep it for a long long time. My eldest helped to make the heads and wool and stuff.
Timmy the baby hugging his little bear!
Love his pacifier! Had so much fun making him.
And in to the oven to bake!
On the actual day itself, I was making the words with crushed oreos to look like dug up dirt.
My fav part! placing on the sheep! I placed some plastic wrap to seperate the cake from the Scupley.
Here's the action. The ball of glued up sheep is rolling dangerously towards the very oblivious Timmy while Shaun is running to his rescue!
Fencing also got bowled over. lol
Oh, and see the exclaimation mark? Added for good measure.
Close up. bwahaha...
What a blessing of the Lord a happy family is!
Hope you enjoyed viewing the story behind this cake! ;)
wow! love the cake and all of your creations! :)

The pacifier really makes the sheep for me. Charming cake and sculptural elements.
