Qn: What dance does Zay like to do at the polyclinic?
Ans: Do the Pokey Pokey!
This morning, baby had an injection to take. He's a couple of months late because last year, i completely forgot about his appointment till about 2 mths later, I woke up with a start in the morning, thinking to myself... hmmmmm... something's not right. So I went to check his health booklet and lo, and behold! We were 2 mths late for his appointment!
The excuse I give myself is that I have four children. :OP
He looks pensive in the pic but actually, he was quite cheerful up the point the needle when in. :O) Poor baby.
Meanwhile, back home, I had set no.1 and no. 2 their day's assignment to work on whilst I was out. We had some time for bible reading before I left too. (Today, we read from the KJV, Numbers about the 12 spies and their report of the land of Canaan.) So they were under popo's supervision whilst I was out and they did fine.
By the time I was back about 1 hour later, no. 2 had finished her work and no. 1 had completed some too. He has more work to do so it takes longer. It's good that with ACE, I don't have to be there the whole time for work to continue. You have to really appreciate this point here. Recently, when i was literally bed-ridden for two days due to back injury from all the manual labour I do, I could still do school with the kids "remote control". Fantastic!
The christian curriculum that the Ong Family Homeschool uses is ACE, Accelerated Christian Education. It's a self contained, student centred curriculum which allows the students to learn by themselves, with minimal supervision. I still do enjoy participating in feeding extra information to my kids as they do school. You can read up more here: Accelerated Christian Education's concepts and methods.
