When your child is growing up, it's always rewarding to pay attention to what they draw. And it's always interesting to hear them tell you what they are depicting in their drawings.
My no. 3, 3 yrs, is currently drawing truly delightful people (our family members) with crazy googley eyes and facial features which have an interesting "flow" to it. I don't coach him to draw, by the way. This is his own expression. Sometimes they'll ask me how to draw something and i'll offer my rendition, which is not very good.
Here's a comparative study of no. 2's pieces entitled "I love MoMo" and "I love MoMa". The first was drawn last year at Heritage Learning Centre where she attended pre-school when she was 4 yrs. (Last year was a hectic year for me with a 2 yr old and an infant and a six year old who wasn't reading yet, so she went to pre-school at our trusted church learning centre. The teachers, members of our church, are all godly people who love the Lord and train up the children in a loving manner.)
So, teacher GP did a wonderful job guiding no. 2 in "I love Mom" for a mothers' day present. I loved it! But smart aleck no. 1 said that the "mom" was spelt wrongly and added an "o" at the end. so it became "I love MoMo". I thought that was funny too and had been thinking of framing it up (like for a year now... see how efficient I am..)
Finally I got a nice big frame from Ikea last week but to my horror when I took out "I Love MoMo", my very old can of fixative spray (I used as a paper weight) had LEAKED and smudged a third portion of my precious present!! (Again, no prizes for perfect housekeeping here, either...)
I told her i was so sad, could she do another "I Love MoMo" for me? She said no, but she'll do an I love Mama for me. :O) So here it is.
This time, one year on, she's added more details to the picture. She's added my curly hair, (taken away my spectacles), and bandaged my foot. (I fractured my foot couple of months back.)
I Love it and framed it up. That's my month's performance bonus. :OD
Look at this verse I found! :O)
Isaiah 10:19 And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.
It's lovely! Abi can colour very nicely inside lines now.
I think you look better without glasses... In real life and in drawings (:

The drawings are so sweet. Don't they just highlight the fact that you were chosen to be a mother, to just love and be loved by your children.........:)
