I've been getting much feedback that my readers, that's you, enjoy the videos of the Ongsters very much. So... here's the next installment of the Ongsters on video. I've been waiting to do this video for months now..
In this video, we're presenting about two months' worth of work, our memory verse from Matthew 6: 19 - 34. We love God and want to hide His Word in our hearts so that we do not sin against God, for example, we can know what to do when situations present themselves to us, and we will know what God would have us to do.
Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
In our memory work passage, we are reminded not to worry about what we eat and drink and clothing (the very things that so many in our society are preoccupied with!) God's wonderful promise to His children is that He will provide all these things and we are not to worry.
One example I've experienced the fulfillment of this passage in my life concerns clothing for the children. At church, we often pass the nice clothes our children have outgrown. My dear sisters at church always seem to answer my prayers whenever I tell God that this child of mine or that is outgrowing his clothes. God always sends us clothes just at the right time! Always an amazment to me but it is my own lack of faith in His goodness and His promises. More often than not, God has provided much above what we need.
So, Bible memory work is important to the Christian and one of our daily activities in school is bible memory time. :O) We have learnt from ACE to add actions with the words. It helps the children to remember the verse and also it helps to clarify concepts for the chidren.
We were alittle distracted in the video and could have done better with getting it word perfect but I hope you'll enjoy it. :OP No. 3 can do the verses as well but needs more time to think but kor kor and chair chair talk faster. So he's alittle quiet in this video. And then there's a little calafare who is simply so cute he's distracting..
Matthew 6:19-34 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (that is "money").
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
