Hmmmmm.... Is it going to be my turn?
Thank you moo moo cow for accompanying me for this trip to the clinic!
Ok, I'll turn my attention to the morning news while moo moo and I wait.
He may look so kesian in the pics but I think it had to do with not being fully awake yet. :OP
Sweet baby no. 4 went to our government polyclinic today for his 18 mth jab for a whole host of baddy bugs. He is a couple of months late for this jab.
We made one attempt four weeks back. But he was coughing so badly, when the nurse heard his phelmy cough, she said, better not. So we made an appointment for two weeks later, just to be sure his cough will be well by then.
Then, one week into that, we were in contact with a brother at church who the next day was diagnosed with chicken pox, which later was confirmed to be shingles!!!
So I postponed the appointment for baby till today. I thought it would be okay since it has had a 2 and a half week lapse and baby still shows not sign of any pox. So, the appointment went on as normal, took his weight and his height and everything. Till the nurse asked if he had come into contact with anyone with chicken pox or measels and I said yes, two weeks ago.
The nurse again said, Oh, then cannot lah. Must wait 1 month. I think two weeks is the incubation period but I guess they need to err on the side of safety.
Great. So, again, I had gone all the way down for nothing. Not that the polyclinic is that far away (7 mins drive), and I didn't wait long at all for the nurse to call my queue number...
Will make another attempt in two weeks time, unless he breaks out in something. :OP God have mercy!
Baked a sponge cake after lunch! I'll admit that I haven't perfected the sponge yet. Still trial and erroring. :O) The cakes I do for decorating have to be heavy cakes to take the weight of the fondant. If anyone thinks sponge cakes are a healthier choice than butter cakes, well, actually, the egg to butter ratio is alot higher. LOTS of egg in sponges I tell you.
No. 2 (almost 6) helped me sift flour and no. 3 (very almost 4) announced proudlythat he helped by watching. Which is what I tell them when they're too little to help, I say, help by watching so that next time, you can do it since you've already learnt through observing. :O)
Have a good day!
So cute... He looks a little like Wongkie cousin 3 in the 1st picture :)
More (egg) is better! Otherwise the cake won't hold... and you get a scouring pad cake instead of a sponge cake... :P

Hey Carol! He is a cutie, isn't he? :OP I was holding his hand and walking into the clinic just feeling soooo privileged to have a little man who loves me so.
Oh yes, the scouring pad was the "angel cake" I baked for your birthday, do you remember? :OP Aie yie yie, we sawed through that one. Haha!
This one was loads of an improvement but i need to get a lighter texture.
