Last Saturday evening, we took a trip to Mount Faber with family to walk on the newly opened bridge: the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore, connecting mt Faber to Telok Blangah hill. It's a short 300m walk but fun and unique because the bridge is made of wood and undulating like waves.
Praise God, we were in for a special treat that evening because...look what we saw in the distance?
A Chinook carrying the State Flag, accompanied by three Apaches!
They've begun practicing for National Day in August. And what was even
BETTER, and we didn't expect this, was that they flew right above us! Everyone was so excited!
We really do thank God for that special treat because if we had been any earlier or later, we would have missed them flying right over head. :O)
When we got to Telok Blangah Hill, we took a short walk to get to the Forest Walk which is a tree top bridge walk. 1.3km of bridge spanning 50 meters of secondary forest. Baby was afraid of heights and had me carry him most of the way. Phew.
It was getting dark by that time so didn't get too many good pics of that part of the walk.
It was a comfortable downhill walk from mt Faber. The Papa parked at Mt Faber, so he took a taxi back, retrieve the vehicle and came to fetch us, to save us all the walking uphill at night.. :OP (it was past time for dinner..)
One last interesting pic. While we were still on mt Faber, no. 1 said, mama, look, a lama. And there it was, a giant green Lama. :O)
Psalms 106:1 Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
