27th April, I counted like a "first day of school" of sorts. Because there's been a new addition to the family and thus there needed to be some re-working of schedules, tweaking the school day's activities, fixing what wasn't working so well in the previous arrangement. Sat the kids down again and pep talked them about what I expected of them for school and good behaviour.
I've printed out a daily bible reading schedule for the older two to read their bibles before starting the day in the event I can't get out of bed early enough (due to the night feeds). They are to tick in the column next to the bible portion when they're done reading. When I do Bible Time with them, I intend to read through the same portion and talk to them more about what was read.
I've also printed out a "Bless the Home Roster" and a "Rules for Living Happily Together". I tagged some verses to these two.
For the Roster it was Psalms 128:1-2 Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
And for the Rules it was Philippians 2:3-4 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

To be honest, it wasn;t a day without tears shed to beg God to give me strength and wisdom to manage this "new" task of schooling with five children. :O) God has been so good to me. Baby decided to be very, very sleepy today and so it eased my pressure somewhat.
We got some things done, like piano lesson.
We didn't get some things done, like a mini-composition that no. 1 needed to do with my guidance. But it's ok. There's always tomorrow to do the things of today. heehee :OP
So, all in all, it was a great day: Praise God for strength and help!!! :O)
