Haha... is this turning into a sewing blog? :p
nah. But I'm really pleased with my latest sewing challenge. Actually, I was impressed by a certain 18 year old homeschooled young lady, when I saw she was wearing a mini-skirt which she took and lengthened with more material, making it a modest, fashionable, wearable skirt!
So I was sorting through some used clothes that dear folks passed to me, and I came across this Ralph Lauren pair of pants for toddler girls. I spied it and imagined what it would be like if I turned it into a skirt. Just for fun.
What do you think? :D Corduroy!!! I love.
I hope that folks reading this will get excited about being creative about dressing modestly, just like that 18 yr old young lady. :)
On the homeschool front, my kids are watching me as I venture in to this new found skill and they are eager to learn to sew too! The two older ones have already started helping me with the straight sewing. :)
Yay!
