Maybe I should call my dear children Wedding Cake Angels since there are no such things as elves. haha
Here's a quick post to share the cake pictures. Will try to source around for more pics. (Hubby and I were too distracted to take photos. :) ) It was a glorious day! Beautiful radiant bride, dashing groom, the whole entourage, flowers, the music, everything was simply beautiful. So proud of my no. 3 who was the ring beearer! Of course, the preaching from the Word of God was timely.
I do wish I had a pic with my little helper angels who really helped me a great deal with the cake. Imagine, cake decorating day I clocked in under 6 hours. Never before! Past cakes, I usually work till 1am.
The day before that, when we were baking the carrot cake, I had no. 3 peeling carrots, no. 1 working the food processor shredding up the carrots, no. 2 who was chopping walnuts and no. 4 who helped me measure raisins. (I still wonder if he put three 1/2 cups or two. hahahaha...nevermind, not esscential.) Hubby asked why I didn't get a photo of that scene. I wish I had! But that was a bit too much multi-tasking for me! lol
Here's a closer view of the cake (custom designed by the Bride and Groom). The little fondant flowers were cut, shaped and painted by no. 1 and 2. (I helped with some painting. Pearl lustre dust.)
Oh yah, and the dress I did A&A on....
Sorry, for lack of close up pics... I have given up on buying clothes off the rack that are modest and still suit my taste. So I bought one that I liked with the intention of making it proper. The original dress ended at above my knee. I extended it with a meter of Indian raw silk. Expensive but I love the texture!!
Well, Praise God once again for a glorious day. Will post more pics soon! :D
Awesome cake...looks so delicious...nice blog !!!
