Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!!!
Tonight's post will be about... what else right?
For Father's Day this year, I created a little worksheet for the kids to fill up just to see what their honest view of their papa is. All the worksheets yielded different answers but all show they love and respect their papa very much. I particularly like no. 4's (5 yrs) answers because it really showed his heart. (Not that the others didn't though. They all wrote sincerely. :) ) 5 year olds don't lie in questionnaires, do they? :p His answers are in italics. I helped him write down his answers.
My Papa & Me!
My Papa is (physical attributes): strong. and a cheeky face
My Papa is (character): honest, helpful
My Papa loves (people): the family, children, me
My Papa loves (things): handphone (<--mama helped with this one. He wanted to answer "kangaroos".)
My Papa loves to (activities): help people like the family
My Papa is good at: guitar, talking to people
My first memory of my Papa is: (no body could answer this one!!!)
I love My Papa because: he loves me. By... helping me, playing with me, hugging me.
My hope for Papa is: that he will stay at home with us then we can play with him.

The older ones talked more about their papa's love for the church as well. Today, he was given the sacred privilege to preach in place of our pastor who is away on a mission trip to Ranong!
We are so blessed to have a wonderful man to be the head of our house!
Ephesians 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Indeed, God has a special place for fathers because in a godly father do the children learn from very young what the character of God is. What an awesome thought. What a privilege and responsibility. Without a doubt, it is a position that the Devil works hard at undermining but may the Lord strengthen the resolve of godly fathers out there to keep on being faithful to the task God has called them to.
