Right after the last PSLE paper this year, papa asked no. 1 to quickly record what he learned in order to pass on his learning points to his younger siblings. This is what he typed out. May you be encouraged! :)
------------------------------
Do your best and leave the rest to God. God is almighty and powerful. Rest upon The Lord. His way is perfect and he will guide you through it.
Study as hard as you can and pray for God to help you remember what you've learnt. Know that your best is the most you can do for the test.
Have a mind set to glorify The Lord and to magnify him to the people around you. Be a good ambassador for Christ.
Depend on God because He is all you've got. God is in control of everything. He is the one that will bring you through this test.
God has a plan in everything. He's trying to teach us something. Accept his choice of route in every time of your life. If he wanted you to embark on this journey, he will bring you through it.
Thank God for his choice and his faithfulness.
At the start you might be questioning the reason or the purpose of the PSLE. But in God's word it says to respect and obey authority. You may go through times of depression and discouragement, and might question God's plan. But you must remember that God loves you.
When you go through the time when you feel helpless and can't understand the questions that the test throws at you. Turn to The Lord. God created the heavens and the earth, he should understand how to answer the question. He created the ins and outs of everything. He knows everything.
If you wonder why God had to create the world and everything. You must remember that he has a perfect plan that he wants to accomplish. God never forgets about us and never will.
In the tough times of your journey, you must beware that Satan is looking out to trip you in low times. Be vigilant and look to The Lord and don't look around at the angry waves like Peter. Remember that God is by your side and will never fail you.
Prayer and reading the words of The Lord will help you to stick to the wisdom of The Lord. Never lean on your own understanding. Let Him direct thy path.
Always keep your spiritual glasses on and know there is a Spiritual battle going on over your soul and life. Keep the relationship in between God and you healthy talk to God and listen to his words. May there be no sin in between you and God because he cannot fellowship with sin. The Lord is your strength.
When the time comes for you to take the test that you have been preparing for, remember the time that you have tried your best in learning your stuff.
Remember your goal which is to glorify your Heavenly Father.
As you go into the room, look out the window and see the creations of The Lord and remember how he has carried you through this journey. Remember the power of The Lord and how he can help you through this segment of this journey. Pray to God that he will help you to remember every thing that you've learnt. Ask him to help you not to be proud and that you will not lean on your own understanding.
As you confront every question remember your goals and God's promises. Before answering questions ask God to give you knowledge on how to answer it. After that thank God for being together being with you.
After the test thank him for being with you. As you travel home thank him. After the PSLE is over thank Him.
When you have your life back, ask God what he wants you to do. After your so called "big battle", the devil will start attacking you even harder than before. The sinful temptations will become harder. So it doesn't mean after the PSLE the test is over. Never let you guard down for as a lion the devil seeks to devour you. Therefore don't waste your time. Once time is spent, it will never come back.
When the time comes for you to receive your results. Praise him if he wanted you to make it over the bench mark or if he didn't. Thank him for his choice and give glory to his name. Because you have done your best you have no regrets.
As it says in his word "in everything give thanks for this is the will of God."
