If you look closely, there's a lamp post standing at the top of the cake. Much to the wedding couple's dismay, the 2006 General Elections fell on the same day as their wedding! We decided to use this turn of events to our advantage and make it part of the celebrations. The placard on the lamp post (all sugarpaste made to look like all the street lamp posts decked in campaign spledour) read: "Join our Party"
